Meet our Award-Winning Roastery Team!
We think it's important that you know the humans who roast your coffee.
Brandon
The guy who started it all... in his garage with a popcorn popper. Brandon started roasting coffee as a hobby in 2015 and at this point it's safe to say that was a really, really great decision. He still hops on the roaster regularly to help the team tweak roast profiles and maintain quality control. You might see him around Chilliwack rippin' on his Harley and blasting Celine Dion.
Katie
Katie is our dynamite Roastery Manager. She stepped in to take the reigns in 2023 and she hasn't looked back. She knows our Probat and Toper roasters like the back of her hand and does an incredibly job of teasing out the most subtle and dynamic flavour profiles from all of our roasts. Fun fact: Katie has read every Sarah J. Mass book ever written.
Sam
Sam has been roasting at SG since 2022, back when her sister Kristina was our Roastery Manager. Whilst working towards her degree, Sam applies her top-tier science knowledge to help us get super geeky about roasting coffee. An avid outdoorsperson, Sam knows all the best camping spots in the PNW.
Tessa
Tessa is the newest member of our team and she brings her analytical mind to help keep the roastery running smoothly and our roast profiles dialled in. She's also SG's resident plant whisperer.
